HOMOGENEOUS AND HETEROGENEOUS
PVC FLOORS
Homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC floorings are multi-purpose solution suitable for all type of buildings.
What is homogeneous flooring?
Homogeneous vinyl floorings are tough and ultra-durable solutions for heavy and very heavy traffic areas, especially recommended for applications in healthcare and education for their resistance and ease of cleaning.
Composed of a single compact layer of vinyl, homogeneous vinyl floors are glued to the sub-floor and welded for optimal durability and hygiene. Our acoustic versions feature a special foam underlayer to reduce sound transmission and absorb shocks.
There are 23 collections with thickness of 1,50mm, 2mm, 3,50mm and 3,70mm.
Structure
The structure of homogeneous PVC flooring consists of:
– Pure PVC
– Calcium Carbonat
– Plasticizers (to achieve form of rolls)
– Stabilizatiors (the flooring remains the same)
The quality of the homogeneous flooring is preconditioned by the relation between the PVC and the calcium carbonate. The calcium carbonate makes it stronger, and the lighter material, the better one. The calcium carbonate makes it heavier.
Types of homogeneous flooring
Homogeneous vinyl flooring can be electroconductive and non-electroconductive. The electroconductive flooring is used in hospital surgery rooms, whereas the no-conductive in RTG x-ray rooms. The medical equipment or medical machine itself demand appropriate type of floor in accordance with required characteristics. The electroconductive flooring contains graphite shavings, graphite reverse, require electroconductive adhesive and copper stripes are used for installation.
They conduct electricity quickly.
Anti-slippery homogeneous flooring contains R10 and R11 aluminum oxide. Can be applied in hospitals, schools, canteens, ramps etc.
What is heterogeneous flooring?
Heterogeneous vinyl flooring is a versatile solution for all types of applications. It comes in different constructions to accommodate the use in residential applications or high traffic areas such as schools and hospitals. It is composed of several layers, including a printed sheet for limitless design possibilities. The acoustic version features a foam interlayer to reduce sound transmission and absorb shocks.
Structure
The structure of heterogeneous PVC flooring consists of 6 layers:
– PVC layer
– Design layer
– Foam layer
– Glass fiber
– Foam layer
– Back compact
The thickness of the finishing layer (wear out layer) is important for the PVC heterogeneous flooring
- 0.7mm for public usage (shoos, kindergatens, hospital rooms (not surgery rooms)
- 0.5 mm – 0.7 mm for small spaces, offices
- 0.5 mm for domestic purpose (support floor heating)
